 Kente Weaving Minimize

twin with a school in Africa and make a school bannerThe introductory demonstration of the art of traditional Kente cloth weaving is given on a full size traditional loom. Participants create and produce their own designs by drawing and later weaving. They then have ‘hands-on’ experience of working their own ‘smaller’ loom and producing their own Kente pieces.

Kanko Arts Foundation are actively encouraging schools and colleges to twin with a school or college in Africa to 'give a less fortunate child an education' and 'to give a child a hand up instead of a hand out'.  We find that making a banner between the two schools, brings an amazing untiy and oneness to the world.  We would love to see friendships build, through the exchange of letters and sharing dreams and goals across the ocean.
